Gakenke: Start small and liking it, pavement to success

Jean Baptiste Sindikubwabo and Jean Baptiste Bangurimana like other partners appeared in an open day with two rabbits, say they aren’t ashamed of rabbit keeping when well educated.

After training with Dot Rwanda, they failed to get capital to start a business all they could afford was small money to purchase rabbits.

In April 2012, they used Rwf7000 to purchase four rabbits which have multiplied to 100 rabbits by February 2013 that are worth Rwf160000.

Jean Baptiste Sindikubwabo and Jean Baptiste Bangurimana were trained by Dot Rwanda.

They advise other youth to create small income generating projects like them who are keeping rabbits when we completed education.

Sindikubwabo and Bangurimana add narrate that ever since they started this business they have never failed to get money to take care of the needs such as clothes and general upkeep.

The two hope to work hard and expand their business instead of running around looking for the jobs.

However, they plan to combine rabbit rearing with increasing passion fruit seeds for sale and grow other types of fruits.
